China

Topotek (拓扑联创) is a Beijing-based Chinese manufacturer founded in May 2012. The company specialises in high-performance optical zoom cameras and stabilised gimbal camera systems for UAVs, robotics and security applications. Its product range includes cameras with 10×, 18×, 20×, 30×, and 36× optical zoom (and even fixed-focus units), mounted on 2-axis or 3-axis gimbals. Many models integrate additional sensors (e.g. infrared thermal imagers, laser rangefinders, LED illuminators), and support outputs like HDMI, SDI, USB and IP/PTZ streaming. In effect, Topotek’s modules serve as “adjustable telephoto lenses” for drones, enabling high-resolution, long-distance aerial surveillance.

Topotek operates R&D and production centres in multiple cities (Beijing headquarters; product centres in Shenzhen, Hangzhou, etc.). According to the company, it now offers 150+ different gimbal camera products (single- to quad‑sensor, 2MP–48MP imagers, 60–1500 g payloads). Notably, Topotek has developed a “D Series” of AI‑enhanced cameras with 2.4 teraflops of onboard processing for real-time object tracking.
